Idaho Legal Aid Family Law Services
Idaho Legal Aid Services' (ILAS) offices provide the following kinds of
help to families:
- Divorces, protections orders, custody, and child support when involving
domestic violence.
- Guardianships for seniors.
In order to be eligible, you must be the following:
- Referred by domestic violence shelter in a domestic violence case.
- A low-income household.
Note: Some exceptions may apply if ILAS does not have enough resources and/or staff to
help. In these situations, they may not be able to take the case.

The Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program (IVLP) holds monthly Pro Se Family Law Clinics with the assistance of
IVLP volunteers and volunteer attorneys. These volunteers assist in completing the Court Assistance Office (CAO)
forms for family law matters. The Clinic is limited to low income people in the Ada and Canyon counties and
