How Can I Help?

In the United States, low-income people are not guaranteed lawyers in civil cases—for example, divorce or custody cases involving domestic violence, obtaining a protection order, housing, or access to Medicare and/or Medicaid for seniors and people with disabilities.

Idaho Legal Aid Services, Inc. is Idaho’s largest pro-bono law office providing free civil legal services to low-income individuals and families throughout Idaho.

The long-term success of our program depends on increased support from the Idaho community at large. There are a couple of ways you can help:

Contact Your Legislature:

Support increased public funding for legal services providers. Contact your U.S. Senator or  Representative and let them know that you support access to justice for the poor and expanded funding for the legal services organizations in Idaho. Provide a Gift:

Help us cover the costs of litigating on behalf of our clients with financial gift giving. You can donate online, using PayPal, by clicking "Donate Here" below:

Other Ways to Give

Mail a Check:

ILAS is always happy to accept donations by mail.  Please make your check payable to “Idaho Legal Aid Services, Inc.”.  Please mail your check to Idaho Legal Aid Services, Inc, 1447 Tyrell Lane, Boise, ID, 83706.

Tribute Gifts: 

An amazing way to honor a family member, friend or colleague!! Consider making a Tribute Gift in an individual’s name to ILAS and with permission we will notify the individual you are honoring and/or post on social media. (for online donations, enter the tribute’s name and contact info the comments; If submitting a check, please indicate if it is a tribute and the name of the person and contact info)
