A Reasonable Modification requests that a landlord make a modification to the premises, such as widening doorways, installing grab bars, installing ramps, etc. The person requesting the modification may be responsible for the costs related to making the modification to the premises. The Fair Housing Act does not require the housing provider to pay for modifications, only that they must allow modifications to be made.
