Native American Services
Idaho Legal Aid Services' (ILAS) offices may provide the following kinds of help for Native American legal issues:
- Indian Child Welfare Act (Child Custody)
- SSI, Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare
- Domestic Violence, Child Support Enforcement
- Treaty Rights
- Land Rights, protection, management
- Cultural Religious Rights
- Civil Rights (Discrimination)
- Community Legal Education
- Housing
- Consumer, Bankruptcy, Education, and Employment
In order to be eligible, you must be one of the following:
- a low-income household
- an enrolled Tribal member
Some exceptions are:
- If ILAS does not have enough resources and/or staff to help, they may not be able to take the case. However, please contact your local ILAS office for more information.
