Idaho Legal Aid Services (ILAS) is seeking an attorney to serve agricultural workers in southern Idaho. Your clients would primarily consist of agricultural workers needing representation in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies on a range of legal issues including wage theft, workplace health and safety, housing, civil rights abuses, public benefits, a limited immigration practice, and other issues. Idaho farmworkers predominantly come from Mexico, but also include Peruvian and Chilean sheepherders. You would conduct regular outreach and education to agricultural workers and partner organizations. You must be able to speak, read, and write in Spanish. This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week. ILAS is a nonprofit law firm that provides free legal services to low income persons in civil matters. Idaho Legal Aid Services, Inc. (ILAS), is seeking applicants for an attorney position based at its Nampa Family Justice Center Office to serve clients from across southwest Idaho. The attorney will focus on representing survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking in family law, housing, public entitlements, and other related cases. Services will range from legal advice through litigation. The successful applicant will join two other attorneys and one support staff at the office. Supervision and support will be provided by ILAS's Nampa office. This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week. Active and retired attorneys, law and paralegal students, as well as concerned citizens contribute invaluable services to our offices each year. Note: Because ILAS is a non-profit organization, we are unable to pay individuals interested in an internship, however college credits can be earned.
