Employers are not permitted to take adverse action against their employees who file for bankruptcy. Debtors are protected by 11 U.S.C. sec. 525(b). Section A applies to governmental units and Section B applies to private employers. In all my years of practice, I have never had to bring an action or even threaten to bring an action under Section 525. Idaho courts can assist a victim of domestic violence through protection orders which restrict or prohibit contact between the victim of abuse and the abuser. Idaho Code Section 39-6301, et seq. Domestic violence includes physical injury, sexual abuse, forced imprisonment or the threat thereof.

Elder Abuse has many forms. It can mean any mistreatment of a senior. Examples include confinement, neglect, abandonment, bodily injury, unwanted sexual contact, verbal intimidation and threats, and financial exploitation.
