Idaho Legal Aid Services is governed by a nineteen member Board of Directors, comprised of attorneys and clients. These board members are appointed by Bar Associations and client organizations. They serve as volunteers and give much of their time to oversee ILAS' operations. We are fortunate to have these dedicated individuals providing guidance and direction for our program.

Bankruptcy Basics provides basic information to debtors, creditors, court personnel, the media, and the general public on different aspects of the federal bankruptcy laws. It also provides individuals who may be considering bankruptcy with a basic explanation of the different chapters under which a bankruptcy case may be filed and to answer some of the most commonly asked questions about the bankruptcy process.

How Can I Help?
In the United States, low-income people are not guaranteed lawyers in civil cases—for example, divorce or custody cases involving domestic violence, obtaining a protection order, housing, or access to Medicare and/or Medicaid for seniors and people with disabilities.
Idaho Legal Aid Services, Inc. is Idaho’s largest pro-bono law office providing free civil legal services to low-income individuals and families throughout Idaho.
